How to Resign from a Church
In the United States, any member of church can resign from church membership. We outline steps to help church members in the process.

Membership Covenants
Membership covenants are legal contracts even if the church does not inform their membership. However, a person can resigns from a church whenever they wish and the church cannot legally enforce the membership covenant to prevent them from doing.

Church Discipline
Sadly, most church discipline is not applied in cases of gross sin (pedophilia, incest, serial adultery, etc.) It is used, instead, to keep church members in line and to keep them from asking embarrassing questions like *How much does my pastor make?* We believe that reasons for church discipline be spelled out a priori when a person joins a church.

This well known church group has been accused of child sex abuse cover up as well as hyperauthoritarian church rule.
