Breaking News: Caner Removed as Head of Liberty University Seminary



Ergun Caner reportedly has been relieved of his position as head of Liberty University Seminary. He will stay on as a professor at said seminary. Special thanks to Tom Rich of FBC Jax for reporting this breaking news.

    Actually, Caner will still be teaching young minds full of mush about “spiritual things”.

    Recently, one of his students wrote a blog post about her first day in Theology class and Caner spent 7 minutes talking about his innocence. She recorded it on her cell phone and offered it to any takers. She had quite a few comment they wanted it but came back the next day and said she would not be making it public.

    So, what have we learned from this “demotion”? It was a PR move. Caner still has influence over young minds who have learned that lying about oneself for 9 years as a paid professional Christian is really not a big spiritual problem. It can be an Administrative problem. But not a spiritual problem. And this is in a seminary.

    You know, another thing that really bothers me is that his books are full of faulty research. His “expertise” on Islam has been proven to be a joke. YET: LIberty is Higher Education? I think not.

    Thanks so much for the above link! I had never visited this blog before.

    Imagine my surprise when I saw that an Assistant Professor of Law at Liberty University, namely “Basyle Tchividjian”, contacted this blogger (the babylonian squirrel).

    Yes, Basyle T. is indeed Tullian Tchividjian’s brother. It’s a small world after all…

    WOW! That squirrel can cook! I’m looking forward to preparing some of the recipes he features on his blog.

    “Yes, Basyle T. is indeed Tullian Tchividjian’s brother. It’s a small world after all…”

    I wondered if there was any relation becuse the last name is so unusual. This is even more interesing that Basyle is working in a very unreformed seminary. But even so, I was a bit taken back that the investigators contacts any bloggers considering the statement from Liberty about bloggers early on in this scandal.
