Help: Some people have written requesting that I use some sermons from favorite pastors. I am very interested but i have misplaced the folder with the suggestions. Could you please resend your suggestions? Thank you.

In Time of National Distress link
(Thinking of Ukraine)

Lord God, heavenly Father,
because of our many sins
we deserve no peace,
but in your mercy, spare us.
Stop or hinder those who plan evil.
Restrain all violence
and anything that would harm us.
Protect your people.
Correct the wayward.
Heal the hurting.
Grant us peace.
Amen
(Based on prayer #75 in Common Service Book of the Lutheran Church)

A Prayer Attributed to St. Francis link

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

Unity: Dionysius of the Syrian Jacobite Church, 9th Century link

God the Father,
source of Divinity,
good beyond all that is good,
fair beyond all that is fair,
in you is calmness, peace and unity.
Repair the things that divide us from each other
and restore our unity of love
like your divine love.
And as you are above all things,
unite us in goodness and love
that we may be spiritually one,
with you and with each other,
through your peace which makes all things peaceful
and through the grace, mercy, and tenderness
of your only Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

This is a reenactment of CS Lewis answering questions. I was rather taken with the presentation. I hope you are as well.

Benediction: Source: Schleswig-Hosteinsche Kirchen-Agende, 1797, Segenswünsche,  p. 146#1, link

May the Lord show you
the greatness of his goodness,
that you overflow with thanks
every day.

May the Lord bless you abundantly
with rest for the heart,
power for virtue,
wisdom for life,
and patience in suffering.

May the Lord bless you
with joyful hope,
and one day
with the inexpressible joys
of eternal life.
Amen
