A Prayer of Ambrose (c 339-97) link

O Lord, who hast mercy upon all, take away from me my sins, and mercifully kindle in me the fire of thy Holy Spirit.
Take away from me the heart of stone,and give me a heart of flesh,
a heart to love and adore thee,a heart to delight in thee, to follow and to enjoy thee, for Christ’s sake.
In Jesus name,
Amen

A Prayer By Thomas Cranmer link

"This collect was written by Thomas Cranmer and is based on 1 Corinthians 13. Cranmer was Archbishop of Canterbury during the reign of Henry VIII and was finally executed during the reign of Henry's daughter Mary.

Lord God,
you have taught us that anything we do without love is worth nothing,
for whoever lives without love is counted dead before you;
send your Holy Spirit,and pour into our hearts
that most excellent gift of love, the true bond of peace and of all virtues;
grant this for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ
who is alive with with you and the Holy Spirit, one God now and for ever.
Amen.

Scripture Reading:  Luke 10:1-7 (NASB Bible Gateway)

The Seventy Sent Out

Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry no money belt, no bag, no shoes; and greet no one on the way. Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.  Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they give you; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.

Benediction: Jude 24-25

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
