Prayer by Susanna Wesley link
You, O Lord, have called us to watch and pray.
Therefore, whatever may be the sin against which we pray,
make us careful to watch against it,
and so have reason to expect that our prayers will be answered.
In order to perform this duty aright,
grant us grace to preserve a sober, equal temper,
and sincerity to pray for your assistance.
Amen.

A Prayer by John Wesley link

I am no longer my own but yours,
Put me to what you will
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed for you or laid aside for you.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal
And now glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
You are mine and I am yours. So be it.
And this covenant now made on earth, let it be satisfied in heaven.
Amen

Scripture Reading:  Hebrews 12:29 (NASB Bible Gateway)

"for our God is a consuming fire"

Luther's Morning Prayer link

My Heavenly Father,
I thank You, through Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son,
that You kept me safe from all evil and danger last night. Save me,
I pray, today as well, from every evil and sin,
so that all I do and the way that I live will please you.
I put myself in your care, body and soul and all that I have.
Let Your holy Angels be with me, so that the evil enemy will
not gain power over me.
Amen

Benediction link
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.  Hebrews 13:20,21

  1. I’m unable to listen to Wade’s sermon past the 7:10 mark as it ends at that point in IE. When I switched to Firefox, it stopped at the 2:31 mark and ended. Is it just me? I’m current on all updates in both browsers.

  2. It works fine here, but has been frustrating with the overall volume being low. Can listen to it on earphones just fine without issue, but have tried various computers with the family trying to listen to it playing on the computer 4 to 5′ away…Wade’s voice often peter’s out and we cannot discern what he is saying. Guess we need an amp.

  3. Thank you Wade. I still have a hard time believing God can love me that much. I am going through a very rough time spiritually right now. Feels like I am losing my faith and belief. I pray for help from God but can only muster a small amount of belief that He will answer. As my old church preached, I am either saved or not. I am tired of worrying about it. Some things have transpired to validate my feelings of being alone on this earth. I don't know how to keep the old filter out of my head.

However, it was a very good message, Wade

  4. Wade,

This was a heat-felt and wonderful message. I appreciate that you are taking the Letter to the Hebrews and preaching verse-by-verse for listeners to understand.

  5. To our EChurch community:

Just checking to see whether anyone else is having technical problems with the videos.

Thanks in advance for your feedback. 🙂
