TWW Has Set Up Shauna and Billy’s Go Fund Me

“We must learn to regard people less in the light of what they do or omit to do, and more in the light of what they suffer.”  ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer link

Many of you have asked how you can help this dear family. Shauna has given me permission to set up this Go Fund Me Account. There is a serious need for financial help in order to pay rent, utilities, food and medical needs. This is a heartbreaking story that even gets worse as you will read in Wednesday's post.

I also shout out to the members of Lakeside Baptist Church. Please support your former members. Surely some of you know that this family has great needs. Ask yourself what Jesus would do.

Here is the link.

TWW Has Set Up Shauna and Billy’s Go Fund Me — 11 Comments

  1. I don’t know how to comment on go fund me. I hope those who just gave will see this. Thank you, I’m beyond humbled and speechless. I didn’t know that you guys were emailing dee asking to help. Your beyond amazing and I would be lying to you if I didn’t say that it is,so awkward having a gofundme. Please pray for me as I have an opportunity to work for a,company possibly where one of the sweetest woman I know, her husband is going to give my resume to his boss. It is a commute but it pays very well and would give me steady income and hours. My son and I love you all for your incredible love and support.

  3. Shauna, you are deserving of whatever help we can give you. The Bible admonishes us to love our neighbors as ourselves. You are our neighbor. When one of us hurts, we support them in prayer, love and other ways. What years did you live in College Station, TX? I lived there for 3 months after Hurricane Ike. Love that town. We went to College Station Baptist church there. I wanted to move there permanently when my husband retired, but had always wanted to move to the town we are now in (think roses in East, TX). Praying that you get the new job.

  6. Thank you thank you to everyone of you. I was able to get much needed tires as mine were all bald and I had been driving on a donut tire. We were coming so close on food, utilities, and other basic needs that God provided as always. I feel so undeserving and billy is seeing the hand of God in and on his life. I wanted to share with all of you the joy that comes with seeing Him care for us through all of you. After losing my source of income I needed to get tires there was always something else always an unpaid bill, food needs, shoes or clothes for billy and so on. I had been just barely making it. Please know that God was sustaining us even with the work. I am able to take care of some of these immediate needs now and I can focus on working harder to take care of my son. Just when I think God amazes me He does more and I pray that no matter what happens that I stay continually reminded of His care for me and billy. Thank you thank you for your wonderful care and love for my son. I can’t put into words the joy I have knowing that everyone supports him and cares for him. I truly wish we could have received it without all this hardship and pain but then I think how would we ever experience God’s hand through His people? I just want to say we appreciate this place and Dee I love you more than you relealize you truly are a gift in all this.
