WOW! I am planning on writing an open letter to Mark Dever next week. Now I can email him directly! 🙂

    Thanks Mom!

If I didn’t live so far away, I would like to go and stand with them….

I would love to be there but will be out of town on business.

I forgot to forward, but at the T4g site I wrote a brief note. I requested CJ be removed from the speaker’s list. Be showing humility, Christ’s name would be honored.

I sent the following email to Mohler, Dever and Duncan. Feel free to copy and paste. Please take the time to send your own email. You can make a difference!

    Dear Dr. Dever

I write to add my voice to those who are requesting that C.J. Mahaney be removed from his role as a plenary speaker at the upcoming T4G conference.

Additionally, I request that you remove Mark Prater and Ian McConnell from their scheduled break-out session where they will be recruiting churches to join their denomination.

As SNAP director, David Clohessy said: “It’s reckless and callous when clergymen give prominent positions to colleagues who face charges of concealing child sex crimes. It actually makes churches more dangerous. It discourages other church members and staff who see, suspect or suffer child sex crimes from speaking up. It emboldens those who commit and conceal child sex crimes.”

Thank you for consideration of my request.

    Todd Wilhelm

for the rights of all who are destitute.
    Open your mouth, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31:8-9)

Thanks, Todd. Awesome. And this is a great, simple yet clear example letter.

    @ Ann:
    Thank you! Every voice counts.

Just remember, this city adores Mohler from the police spokesman (dad former mega church pastor star and friend of Mohler) to the politicians (T$G is guaranteed dollars to city and Mohler was big in metroversity)

If Mohler goes in the hospital, the local media reports it. That is how it works here. I expect to see flags at half staff when and if he retires.

Just be aware the powers will be inclined to protect his fake reputation. Mohler builds power bases. It is what his career has been about.

    Lydia,

That is just sad. The true wo(man) of God works toward the building of the Kingdom of God, not some personal empire.

Shows me that if that is Mohler’s pattern of life, he is not trusting God and I would even wonder if He knows God, let alone is saved. He may have started fine, but the finishing, which Paul writes of in the NT, is something else entirely.

Not surprising, though. It is what so many of these guys (Mac, Pratt, Chandler, Piper, etc.) are all about. It is their legacy, not God’s.

Tell me about it. Robert Morris of Gateway Church does the exact same thing. He name drops from the pulpit how he and Governor Greg Abbott are such dear friends and how particularly close he is to his good friend, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, or “Kin” as Robert likes to call him. Buddy Kin is facing first and third degree felony charges at the moment, so I fear blindly supporting a man like Robert Morris is right up his alley.
    .
I don’t know if Mohler likes this trick, but for years Gateway Church would hire officers from the local Police Departments as off-duty security, paying them a stiff premium to basically listen to worship music in an air conditioned building. Then the pastors laugh about how they have the full support of the local PD so any complaints will either fall on deaf ears. In 2015 Gateway switched to a volunteer security team as part of austerity measures, but for years they claimed to have the local PDs for each campus in their back pockets.
    .
As the largest church in all of DFW, Gateway also has the tacit support of the local news media who refuse to publish anything questionable about Gateway for fear of losing their waning advertising revenue. Put this all together and you have a $150 Million a year cash empire that literally answers to no one. What could possibly go wrong?

CJ has bewitched people for years… It might’ve started out right but all he is now a personality of carefully honed fake humility that his adoring masses want to emulate… Ugh

Do you know Dever, or Mohler, or Duncan? Can you tell, through their personal habits, where their heart is? Can you read their hearts? It is fine to disagree with a decision they have made but to say these things about them personally kills the power your argument might have had and makes you simply look ignorant and ungracious. We are grateful your life is not in the spotlight…..

I sent the following to the T4G site:

With this email message, let it be known, that I declare my stand with the real PROTESTant reformers, who will be picketing “outside the camp,” standing firm with the victims of SGM’s pedophiles, shining the light on the darkness of T4G that disgraces the name of Christ in honoring C.J. Mahaney.
