Here Is Our Order of Worship

Prayers for Springtime link

Springtime
Your message of hope
to a world tiring of winter’s starkness
longing for that first crocus
to push through snow’s icy blanket
and spread its leaves
like arms outstretched
to its creator
Springtime
Our yearly reminder, if we needed one
that to a world that was dark and cold
a world devoid of love’s sweet warmth
you sent your Son
to break through sin’s icy blanket
and, arms outstretched
on a cross
he brought us
hope
Thank you

A Prayer of Jerome link

O Lord, show Your mercy to me and gladden my heart
I am like the man on the way to Jericho who was overtaken by robbers, wounded and left for dead.
O Good Samaritan, come to my aid
I am like the sheep that went astray
O Good Shepherd, seek me out and bring me home in accord with Your will
Let me dwell in Your house all the days of my life
and praise You for ever and ever
with those who are there
 Amen.

Scripture Reading: Luke 15:8-10 (NASB Bible Gateway)

“Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost!’ In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Go and serve! link

You are the God who calls us to be
a chosen people, a living sacrifice, a holy nation.
You are the God who calls us to be
a light in this world, a faithful people, a people of praise.
You are the God who forgives and restores us,
You are the God we serve.
Amen

  1. Please pray for:

*David/Eagle. His mom died in California. Please pray for him and his family.

*Niteowl. Mother died last month. Also Niteowl has been in ill health and recently got out of the hospital.

*Dee. Her health and pain level.

*Sightseer. Return of her husband’s cancer. Sightseer and her family have been in ill health due to a virus.

*Harley. Recovering from shoulder surgery in Texas and pain.

*Shauna and her son Billy in Texas. It’s been a discouraging time for them. Billy has night terrors from being abused by a church member. Shauna’s part-time job at the grocery store has been cut to 13 hours (night hours) and she is desperate for more work, money for bills, and is discouraged.

The GoFundMe campaign that Dee set up for them continues to be open to receive donations.
Their present needs are rent ($700). Any donations would help, however. Thank you.

*Dennis. His brother Mike is lost in drug addiction.

*Talmidah. Her health. And the health and financial needs of her family.

*Jeannette Altes. Health, finances, job. She puts regular updates on the Open Discussion thread and her GoFundMe link. A donation was made to pay for her rent. She needs food now.

*If I have missed anyone’s prayer needs, please post them here.

    Thank you all.

  2. Thank you, Deb, for EChurch. Pastor Burleson, that was a wonderful message. It gave me renewed hope for my unsaved loved ones. Bless you.

    @ Velour

Velour, thanks so much for including me in this list (and for posting the list!). I welcome the prayers as this is an especially sad day for me. A woman who was quickly becoming my best friend committed suicide twenty years ago. She was smart, kind, beautiful and much more troubled than I realized. I will always miss her and wish I could have done more to help. Please also say a prayer for her family.

I will continue to pray for *everyone* here each day, even those who posted needs way back. You are not forgotten. I believe some of those are OnlyEleven, numo and nmgirl. If I’m mistaken, please forgive me. I’m relying on memory here, which in my case is not saying much.

Also, it’s great to have Nick back. Has Lydia posted recently? I haven’t seen her in some time and hope all’s well.

To Jeannette, Shauna and others who are struggling to survive and keep a roof, I get it. I truly do. I lift your names to the Lord throughout the day. May He enable you to live in abundance, quickly.

I am continuing to pray for Daisy as well, and I’m glad to see she’s posting here again. Please remember her as you go to the Lord.

May everyone here at TWW be healed, live free from pain, be comforted, strengthened and have every need met – much love to you all from your sister in Yeshua!

    Will do, friend.

You have an excellent memory! Yes, we have had them on the list here before and their prayer needs.

  6. @ Jeannette Altes

    @ JYJames

    @ Velour

Bless you all. It makes me so happy to be able to pray for you and hear good reports (and to know my memory is sometimes functioning!).

Also…I believe Brian has asked for prayer in the past few weeks, so I’ve been praying for him too. Brian, may God comfort and strengthen you greatly.

Dee, of course I’m praying for you as well. I also have psoriatic arthritis (along with several other vile afflictions) and everything’s flaring lately. I can understand your pain, and hope it subsides quickly.

I cherish your prayers for my family and myself – much love to all from NC!

  7. Thank you to the two people who made recent donations totalling $300 to the GoFundMe account for Shauna and her son Billy in Texas. (Dee wrote about their story.)
Shauna and Billy are in a dire financial situation. She is a single parent and her part-time job at a grocery store was reduced to 13 hours.
She is overdue on the rent ($700). Anyone else who can afford to contribute to these two dear people, please do so. Any contribution, large or small, would help. Many thanks.

  9. Off-topic announcement.

    Hi Folks,

Just a note that someone made a $100 donation to the GoFundMe that Dee set up for Shuana and her son Billy in Texas. (Dee wrote about their story here on TWW.)

Shauna and Billy are in a dire financial situation right now. Shauna’s part-time job at a grocery store was cut to 13 hours per week. And she doesn’t get paid a lot per hour.

Right now there is $425 in the GoFundMe account for them, minus fees that are taken out.
Rent is due $700 and Shauna doesn’t want them to become homeless.

Would you kind folks please donate whatever you can to this campaign: $20, $25, $50,
$75, $100 or more so that we can help them keep a roof over their head.

    Thank you, friends!

  10. Dear Lord, thank you for all you’ve done for your people. Please meet the needs of Shauna, Billy, Jeannette, Velour and all others here. May they be greatly blessed, and be a blessing to you and to others you send into their lives. May we always seek your wisdom and a greater love for you and those around us. In Yeshua’s Name I pray, amen and amen.

    Hi Folks,

Just an updated note that someone made a $200 donation to the GoFundMe that Dee set up for Shuana and her son Billy in Texas. Thank you donors. And all those who pray for this little family.

(Dee wrote about their story here on TWW.)
Shauna and Billy are in a dire financial situation right now. Shauna’s part-time job at a grocery store was cut to 13 hours per week. And she doesn’t get paid a lot per hour.
Right now there is $625 in the GoFundMe account for them, minus fees that are taken out.

Rent is due $700 and Shauna doesn’t want them to become homeless.

Would you kind folks please donate whatever you can to this campaign: $20, $25, $50,
$75, $100 or more so that we can help them keep a roof over their head.

  13. Off-topic update.

Thank you kind donors for meeting the $700 that Shauna and her son Billy have for rent in Texas. You are a terrific group of people!

Shauna’s part-time job at a grocery store was cut down to 13-hours per week and she can’t afford the basics. She is a single mom.

Dee wrote about their story here on The Wartburg Watch.

Just a couple more items of business:

*We need to raise an additional $60 to cover the fees that GoFundme takes out (which is 8%).
*Additionally besides rent, it would be good to raise $220 to help Shauna and Billy with groceries, some household items, and gasoline for their car.
    *So that’s about $280 more.

Please donate whatever you can afford. $20, $50, $75, $100 or more.

    Many thanks!

    Velour in California

  14. Hi Folks,

Just a note to thank the donor who just donated $100 to the GoFundMe campaign that Dee set up for Shauna and Billy in Texas. (Dee wrote about their story here on TWW.)

With this latest donation it will cover the 8% that GoFundme charges for a fundraiser.
We have raised the $700 to pay for Shauna and Billy’s monthly rent.

They have been in a tight financial situation. Shauna’s part-time job at a grocery store was reduced to 13 hours a week.

I think that about $200 would help them in the interim with food, some household items, and gasoline for their car.

    Thank you!

Please keep them in prayer. They have been discouraged of late.

  15. Prayer request.

Shauna (Billy’s mom in Texas) is meeting with human resources today about problems at her job. Please pray for her.

    Thank you!
