Update: I Have Covid So the Surgery Is Being Rescheduled for the Week of August 12,

Anesthesia wants me to wait 10 days before they will operate.

Temporarily canceled due to Covid!

I have developed some symptoms that need to be explored. My initial tests are all negative, but the symptoms persist, so they will be removing some tissue and some other “stuff” to see if that will alleviate the symptoms. They will be testing the tissue for any signs of cancer as well. Todd may post something, but Wednesday may be pretty slim. I’ll keep everyone posted. I am optimistic that all is well since my MRI was negative.

    I have never met you in person but you are closer to me in spirit than many family and friends —- except of course our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our best friend who holds us 24/7 with his everlasting arm !

    Just about 24 hours ago I had an MVA. A nice summer afternoon— driving at 10 mph turning down-slope on a curve but stupidly hit the curb and damaged right front and back tires, landed on the pavement peacefully. No cars or pedestrians in sight; on my left was a Greek Orthodox church. Called AAA, towed (by a Christian) to the dealer where I bought the car in 2016 and just had 60,000 tune up on 7/24/24. No staff available to fix it till Monday, so today I attended Sunday worship online.

    Why did the Lord keep me alive (80+) and healthy? My dreams and aspirations since childhood (in arts, science, politics, sociology) have all led to dis-illusion. But since retirement I was so happy to concentrate on serving our Lord, running forwards with eyes fixed on Jesus, ——praising and thanking Him for the spiritual nurture from PSC since 1986.

    But PSC has become another dis-illusion for me for one year. The Church Universal (incl. PSC) is His bride; we must trust Him to protect and renew her: HOW AND WHEN HE PLANNED.

    * Maybe He does not want me to say or do anything more — He calls me Home w/ joy: we can watch together how His justice and mercy are meted out below
    * Maybe He wants me to say or do something for His glory on earth, for one more hour or one or n years

    WHATEVER BEFALLS, THOU HAS TAUGHT ME TO SAY, IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL

    Thank you all. Add something more. My husband has terrible sinusitis and tested positive for COVID. This could interfere with surgery on Wednesday. I really need to get this done.

    Please check with your surgeon—

    IF you remain COVID negative, wear mask all day, sleep in separate room
    AND
    If your breast surgery is done under LOCAL anesthesia (not general)
    There is no reason to cancel or postpone surgery.

    Can I assume you have only local symptoms in the area where MRI is normal ?
    i.e. that you do not have COVID symptoms.
    How is your husband’s sinus symptoms– did it resolve with antibiotics ?
    Is he still COVID positive ?L
