A Call to Worship link

God of Hope,
we come into your presence this morning
with confidence that you will meet us here.
Where there is sadness, bring joy;
Where there is tiredness, bring refreshment;
Where there is despair, bring a renewed sense of hope.
Let this place be a sanctuary,
a safe haven for us,
a home for holy words and songs and prayers
as we devote ourselves to you.
We pray this in Jesus’ name

A Prayer of Benedict link

Gracious and Holy Father,
Please give me:
intellect to understand you,
reason to discern you,
diligence to seek you,
wisdom to find you,
a spirit to know you,
a heart to meditate upon you,
ears to hear you,
eyes to to see you,
a tongue to proclaim you,
a way of life pleasing to you,
patience to wait for you
and perseverance to look for you.

Grant me a perfect end,
your holy presence,
a blessed resurrection
and life everlasting.

Scripture Reading: John 12:1-3, John11:- NIV

Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
2 Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.
3 Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume;
she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair.And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

Benediction: Phillippians 4:6-7 NASB (Bible Gateway)

Be anxious for nothing,
but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God,
which surpasses all comprehension,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

    Thank you, Pastor Wade, for your wisdom. Inspiring, positive, thought-provoking, and uplifting.

    (“1”, as always, is meaninglessly irrelevant, childish, and undermining the positive Word. Why, just why? What is the possible reason for it? I lack understanding. Is there even a logical reason? Can it be explained to me? I even wonder, can it ever be stopped? Ever? ) Thank you.

    Thank you Wade for a lovely service.

    Though I would like to say that I think a person’s character does effect how their testimony is received, and in the case of Lin Wood completely negates it- at least for me.

    I don’t know if it is okay to say this here or not. If my comment does not appear, I will understand and know better next time.
