Prayer of St. Ambrose of Milan (AD 339-397)
O Lord, who hast mercy upon all,
take away from me my sins,
and mercifully kindle in me
the fire of thy Holy Spirit.
Take away from me the heart of stone,
and give me a heart of flesh,
a heart to love and adore Thee,
a heart to delight in Thee,
to follow and enjoy Thee, for Christ’s sake,
Amen
LCMS Worship Lent
In peace let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, have mercy.
For the peace of our nation and of the world, that evil may be bound and crippled, and good order cultivated and preserved, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, have mercy.
For the Church of God, that it unfailingly confess the Lord’s work and willingly suffer for the well-being of its enemies, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, have mercy.
For the president of our nation, [(Name)our Governor, etc.] and all others in positions of civil authority, that they serve faithfully and be strengthened in every good deed, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, have mercy.
For the unbelieving and all those outside the Church, that our heavenly Father would create in them a living desire for the blessed crumbs of His Word that He provides so profusely and earnestly for their feeding and nourishment, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, have mercy.
For all pastors, that our almighty Father would sanctify such impure and fallen men for holy use in His hands, just as He has most surely justified them by His Son and called them in ordination, let us pray to the Lord: Lord, have mercy.
For all who are preparing to receive the Lord’s Supper, that with contrite, believing hearts we recognize the bread and the wine of the Holy Eucharist to be the very, true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ that was delivered up and crucified, killed, buried and raised for the forgiveness of all our sins, that we may be healed and strengthened by this gift, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, have mercy.
For the sick, the shut-in, the immobile, the lonely, the depressed, the mentally-ill, the trapped, the dying and all those in disappointment, pain, anger, frailty, guilt, fear, desperation who are tempted to despair of God’s mercy and aid, including those enslaved by addictions, that God would strengthen them to wrestle, endure and hold fast His ways in the certain hope of His ongoing and future healing of body and soul, let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, have mercy.
Into Your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom pray,
trusting in Your mercy, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
Anglican Collect for Lent from 1979 Book of Common Prayer
Almighty God,
You know that we have no power in ourselves
to help ourselves:
Keep us both outwardly in our bodies
and inwardly in our souls,
that we may be defended from all adversities
which may happen to the body,
and from all evil thoughts
which may assault and hurt the soul;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Nicene Creed LCMS
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only‐begotten Son of God,
begotten of His Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God,
begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father,
by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven
and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried.
And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures
and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father.
And He will come again with glory to judge
both the living and the dead, whose kingdom will have no end.
And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified,
who spoke by the prophets.
And I believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins,
and I look for the resurrection of the dead and
the life of the world to come.
Amen.
(Us men means all people.
Christian:the ancient text reads “catholic,”
meaning the wholeChurch as it confesses the wholeness of Christian doctrine.)
Benediction-1st millennium Celtic Oral Tradition
May God grant you and yours
the peace of all things calm,
the place to hide from harm,
the light that shines in dark,
the heart’s eternal spark.
A door that’s open wide to
the guest who waits outside.
Hospitality, warmth and cheer
by your hearth, no matter where.
O, oft and oft and oft, goes Christ
in the stranger’s guise.
He is the light, the truth, the way
May He be with you this very day.
Amen

Thank you for this service. I am missing my own church because the live stream will not work for me. So grateful for Wade’s words of encouragement and for the music you posted that I can sing along with.
