Here is our Order of Worship

For Strength and Wisdom link

Thank you, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry out to you in my times of need.
It is amazing to me that the Lord of the Universe would take time to listen to me and to care about what I say.
God, there are things happening around me right now that I do not understand.
Some of these things make me feel weak, helpless and afraid.
Even in the midst of this, I know that you are the Lord.
I know that the situation is in Your hand, and I trust You.
I beseech you for strength and for wisdom that I would be able to endure this situation
and be able to handle it in a way that would bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus name.
Amen.

A Celtic Prayer link

Creator God, forgive our moments of ingratitude,
the spiritual blindness that prevents us
from appreciating the wonder that is this world,
the endless cycle of nature,
of life and death and rebirth.
Forgive us for taking without giving,
reaping without sowing.
Open our eyes to see,
our lips to praise,
our hands to share,
and may our feet tread lightly on the road ahead.
Amen

Scripture Reading:   Romans 8:28 (NASB Bible Gateway)

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

The Lord's Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13 KJV

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Amen

Benediction

The Lord bless you, and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance on you,

And give you peace.

Numbers 6:24-26 NASB

A childhood friend of mine that was a pastor just died this morning from a long fight with cancer. Please pray for his wife, kids, and grandkids for peace and comfort. Thank you.

  2. Wade – finally a minister speaks on all time favorite verse in the Bible. Roman’s 8:28. I have clung to this verse time and time again. When my family went thru Hurricane Ike, this verse sustained me. 2016 was a rough year for me and members of my family. So far, 2017 isn’t improving any, but I hold fast to the fact that all things work together for good for me because I love my Lord and I’m called according to his purpose.

  3. Harley,

The truth really does set us free! Just prayed that the Lord in mercy will show you and yours the good He’s working sooner than later! Till then, we both will keep trusting Him!

  4. @ Wade Burleson:
Wade, thank you for providing E-Church for so many who are not yet able to return to a formal Church setting for reasons sometimes of abuse. What you do is a Christian work of mercy. God Bless!

  5. Wade – my son called last night after I had listened to your sermon. He was questioning why he had to go thru certain things in his life. I told him about your sermons and the highlights of it. I used your example of looking in the rear view window of the car to see where God has brought you from. He liked that. My son, is a God fearing christian, whom I love a lot. He has overcome many obstacles in life. He is single and looking for the right woman that God has chosen to be his wife. I know God has the perfect woman for him. He just has to be patient.
