Here is our Order of Worship

Martin Luther's Morning Prayer link

I thank You, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have kept me this night from all harm and danger; and I pray that You would keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please You. For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen

A Prayer for Forgiveness  link

"Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness; according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. "Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and uphold me with Thy free Spirit." Psalm 51:1-3, 10-12

Scripture Reading: Luke 13:6-9 (NASB Bible Gateway)

And He began telling this parable: “A man had a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any. And he said to the vineyard-keeper, ‘Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?’ And he answered and said to him, ‘Let it alone, sir, for this year too, until I dig around it and put in fertilizer; and if it bears fruit next year, fine; but if not, cut it down.’”

According to tradition, October 31 is the 499th anniversary of Martin Luther's nailing of his 95 Theses to the door of  All Saints' Church in Wittenberg, Germany.  In recognition of that significant event in history, we are featuring a famous hymn written by Luther (sung in German).

The Lord's Prayer link

Our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen

Benediction

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Jude 24-25 NASB

  2. An update on Brandon, the grandson of a couple in my Sunday School class. He had surgery last week to remove his foot due to cancer. 🙁 I understand he is now cancer free. Please keep this young man in your prayers. He had recently begun a new job after his college graduation, and now his life has taken an unexpected turn. Thank you.
