Here Is Our Order of Worship

A Prayer of Ambrose (c 339-97) link

O Lord, who hast mercy upon all, take away from me my sins,
and mercifully kindle in me the fire of thy Holy Spirit.
Take away from me the heart of stone,
and give me a heart of flesh,
a heart to love and adore thee,
a heart to delight in thee,
to follow and to enjoy thee,
for Christ’s sake.
In Jesus name,
Amen

A Prayer by St Patrick link
@460 link

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through a belief in threeness,
Through confession of the oneness
Of the Creator of Creation.

I arise today
Through the strength of heaven,
Light of sun,
Radiance of moon,
Splendor of fire,
Speed of lightning,
Swiftness of wind,
Depth of sea,
Stability of earth,
Firmness of rock.

I arise today
Through a might, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the threeness,
Through confession of the oneness
of the Creator of Creation.
Amen

Scripture Reading:  Luke 6:46-49 (Bible Gateway)

“Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?  Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.  But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.”

The Lord's Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13 (NASB Bible Gateway)

‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
‘Give us this day our daily bread.
‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

[For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’]

Benediction: Jude 1:24-25

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling
And to present you before his glorious presence without fault
And with great joy to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!
Amen.

  1. Wade, your “talk” this morning strengthened, encouraged, and edified me during a difficult time in my life. Thank you. I wanted you to know that many times you have had a positive impact on my life.

Watching you relive a childhood memory during the Sunday School song brought the biggest smile for me! It was precious to watch your hands automatically go up and down imitating the rain and the flood as you no doubt did when you were young.

Thanks to you, Deb, and Dee once again for EChurch!

  2. God undoubtedly led me to your sermon. I was watching videos about the end times and i was shaking in my boots. But through you i was reminded not to fear men but fear God if im not doing the right thing. Thank you for being a vessel of the Word of God. God BLESS
