Here is our order of worship
Morning Prayer link
"Dear Lord, I give you my hands to do Your work;
I give You my feet to go Your way;
I give You my eyes to see as You see;
I give You my tongue to speak Your words;
I give You my mind that You may think in me;
I give You my spirit that You may pray in me.
Above all, I give You my heart that You may love in me
– love the Father and love all humankind.
I give You my whole self, Lord, that You may grow in me,
so that it is You who lives, works and prays in me. Amen."
A Prayer of Confession by Peter Marshall link
Forgive us, Lord . . . for the things we have done
that make us feel uncomfortable in Your presence.
All the front that we polish so carefully for men to see does not deceive You.
For you know every thought that has left its shadow on our memory.
You have marked every motive that curdled something sweet within us.
We acknowledge–with bitterness and true repentance
–that cross and selfish thoughts have entered our minds;
we acknowledge that we have permitted our minds
to wander through unclean and forbidden ways;
we have toyed with that which we knew was not for us;
we have desired that which we should not have.
We acknowledge that often we have deceived ourselves where our plain duty lay.
We confess before You that our ears are often deaf to the whisper of Thy call,
our eyes often blind to the signs of your guidance,
Make us willing to be changed,
even though it requires surgery of the soul and the therapy of discipline.
Make our hearts warm and soft,
that we may receive now the blessing of Your forgiveness,
the benediction of Your "Depart in peace . . and sin no more."
Amen

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:6 (NASB Bible Gateway)
"And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."
Discussion Questions
(1) Why do you think faith in Christ alone is a message hated by the world?
(2) What can you do to help people see the necessity of Christ in their lives?
(3) When discouragement comes, why does faith in Christ prevail over faith in anything else?
A Prayer Poem by CS Lewis link
Master, they say that when I seem
To be in speech with you,
Since you make no replies, it’s all a dream
–One talker aping two.
They are half right, but not as they
Imagine; rather, I
Seek in myself the things I meant to say,
And lo! The wells are dry.
Then, seeing me empty, you forsake
The Listener’s role, and through
My dead lips breathe and into utterance wake
The thoughts I never knew.
And thus you neither need reply
Nor can; thus, while we seem
Two talking, thou are One forever, and I
No dreamer, but thy dream.
Amen.
Thank you for spending your precious time worshipping the Lord.

Thanks for another beautiful service! I sometimes wonder how all of you find the time in the midst of such busy ministries and schedules, but am grateful that you do.

Some prayer, please. Work has suddenly gotten very difficult.
My boss believes me to be somebody that I am not (i.e. ‘posh and snobby’), and she does not try to change her perspective. Rather, she expects that I change the little nuances that ’cause’ her to see me that way. Others in the office have begun doing it too with one or two things.
I have started to lose a lot of trust in her. She says one thing but means another, or gives incorrect information. She is confusing and inconsistent in her speech and reactions. She falsely accuses me in the name of ‘pushing me’ and ‘making me stronger’. It works – such treatment drives me to dislike her and want to prove her wrong, which makes me work harder and earn more money. However, I can’t keep this up forever. I am not as strong inside as she thinks I am, and I don’t want her to be my enemy.
The most hurtful part is her belief that I am haughty and slightly over-confident, lacking in social skills and can’t adapt to different types of people (mind you, she makes up so much rubbish sometimes that I don’t even know if she means these things). Worse is the fact that even according to others, I am giving off such an impression. If I sit and don’t talk much on a car journey, it’s because I’m deep in thought, not because I’m ignoring others. I don’t want to give off false impressions, especially the kind that would put people off me, but neither do I want to change myself…
Like I said, it all motivates me out of anger and determination, but these are not good foundations for the long run. Not to mention such emotions are a nightmare for physical health. Pray that something will change. Pray perhaps, that I will be healed enough to work out of excitement and joy, rather than fear and aggravation.
Thank you all for your support of me so far.

Anne
i will pray for you. I once had a job with a supervisor who did not like me and nothing I did was good enough. I lost a lot of confidence. I eventually found a bettter job and was voted employee of the year the first year i was there. It helped me to see that sometimes there are just people who are weird or jerky or insecure and it isn’t my fault.(although, sometimes it is) 🙂
