Here Is Our Order of Worship

A Prayer by Dietrich Bonhoeffer link

God of the day and of the night,
in me there is darkness, but with you there is light.
I am alone, but you will not leave me.
I am weak, but you will come to my help.
I am restless, but you are my peace.
I am in haste, but you are the God of infinite patience.
I am confused and lost,
but you are eternal wisdom and you direct my path;
now and for ever.

Prayer attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi link

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
where there is injury, pardon
where there is doubt, faith
where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light
and where there is sadness, joy

O, Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console
to be understood as to understand
to be loved as to love
for it is in giving that we receive
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life

Scripture Reading: Luke 16:1-9 (NASB Bible Gateway)

The Unrighteous Steward

Now He was also saying to the disciples, “There was a rich man who had a manager, and this manager was reported to him as squandering his possessions. And he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’ The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig; I am ashamed to beg. I know what I shall do, so that when I am removed from the management people will welcome me into their homes.’ And he summoned each one of his master’s debtors, and he began saying to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’And he said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ And he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’ Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ And he said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ He *said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’ And his master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light. And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of the wealth of unrighteousness, so that when it fails, they will receive you into the eternal dwellings.

Prayer of St. Benedict link

O gracious and holy Father,
give us wisdom to perceive you,
diligence to seek you,
patience to wait for you,
eyes to behold you,
a heart to meditate upon you,
and a life to proclaim you;
through the power of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Father, thank you that you have revealed Your love to us today.
We invite You to send us out from here in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Fan into flame the gifts that you have given us,
Come reveal Your grace and truth to us each day.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory,
Forever and ever.

  1. Hi Folks,

If you would please continue to lift up the people on the prayer list:

*also DMZ requested prayer for: friends going through layoffs at a mega church, a friend who found a breast lump and is meeting with a surgeon; DMZ’s finances and job situation

*Muff Potter requested that we pray for all of those in pain, of one kind or another.

*Shauna and Billy have pressing financial needs. While the GoFundMe campaign is officially over (TWW has a 2-month limit), those who feel called to continue to help them may do so independently. If you would like their mailing address in Texas please email
    Deb at:

or you can contact me at:

-Harley is doing better and is recovering from shoulder surgery and her pain level is decreasing. She has her birthday and wedding anniversary too!

-I am doing better with my shoulder injury (thanks to all who prayed). Please continue to pray for me.

-Shauna’s son Billy is doing better with his nightmares from his abuse situations. He enjoyed his care package that I sent him with some clothing items and snacks. An Anonymous donor is ordering him some Nikes in size 11 that he will receive in a few weeks at his home in Texas.

    Thank you.

Thank you my dear friend, Christiane.

  4. “For those who suffer, and those who cry this night, give them repose, Lord; A pause in their burdens. Let there be minutes where they experience peace, not of man but of angels. Love them, Lord, when others cannot. Hold them, Lord, when we fail with human arms. Hear their prayers and give them the ability to hear You back in whatever language they best understand.”
