Sheep in Snow

Here Is Our Order of Worship

A Prayer of Ambrose (c 339-97) link

O Lord, who hast mercy upon all, take away from me my sins,
and mercifully kindle in me the fire of thy Holy Spirit.
Take away from me the heart of stone,
and give me a heart of flesh,
a heart to love and adore thee,
a heart to delight in thee,
to follow and to enjoy thee,
for Christ’s sake.
In Jesus name,
Amen

The Lord's Prayer

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Amen.

(Matthew 6:9-13 KJV)

Scripture Reading:  Luke 15:1-7 (NASB Bible Gateway)

The Lost Sheep

Now all the tax collectors and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him. Both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”

So He told them this parable, saying, “What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

Jesus And The Lost Sheep link

Lord,  we pray for the one who is lost and can't find their way.  You have said in your word, Lord, that the Son Of Man has come to save that which is lost.  You have said also, Lord that if a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray; would he leave the ninety-nine; and would he go to the mountain to look for the one that has strayed.  Your Word says, Lord that if he finds it, he should greatly rejoice.  You said that he should rejoice over the lost sheep than over the ninety-nine, that did not go astray.  We know, Lord that is is not your will that any one should go astray.  Thank you Lord for taking care of your lost sheep…IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

Benediction: Jude 24-25 link

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Thanks for sharing these prayer requests! You are so caring and thoughtful.

    Welcome Deb.

If we are The Body of Christ than part of our work continues to be prayer for the saints.

Thank you, Deb, for another fine E-Church.

    Hugs,

    Velour

Putting together the EChurch post is the highlight of each and every week.

    Awesome, Deb!

  4. Valour, thank you.

All, please pray for a friend’s son. He is in the hospital after having been beaten up badly trying to help a friend. He’s atable, but took some severe blows to the face and they’re not sure how bad the damage may be to his brain. Thank you.

  10. @ Jeannette Altes:
Further exas of CT by docs and they called friend and her son back in. Minor bleed on brain, buy his neurological responses are normal, so thinking just concussion (bad enough). Also broken finger and fractured elbow. They are waiting to see if docs think elbow needs surgery. Please keep praying. My friend is exhausted. Single mom working 2 jobs 60-75 hours per week. Thank you.

  11. Pastor Wade, thank you for this word. I know you don’t require the title of pastor, but I see you as one who, out of love, shepherds people.

May God forgive us for our self-righteous attitudes and give us a love for those the Good Shepherd has for us/them.

Your kind words brought tears to my eyes but that soon turned to laughter with your description of the mess from the new cat.

Again, may I express my appreciation for you, Deb, and Dee for EChurch!

  12. Additional prayer request:

*For all of those folks who got out of the Word of Faith Fellowship cult in North Carolina. For their healing. And for those who are still in the cult — that they break free.

For healing among fractured families, divided over the cult (some in and some out of it).

    Thank you.

  13. This is Shauna and Billy’s GoFundMe account. They are a mother and son in Texas that Dee wrote about here.

Shauna is working part-time at a grocery store. She is a single parent. She is looking for more hours.

She would appreciate assistance with bills, food, gasoline, and car insurance.

    Thank you.
