Here is our Order of Worship

A Prayer for the New Year link

Lord,
At the beginning of this new year, I offer you my life.
Come take my voice, may the words I speak be filled with encouragement and goodness.
Come take my hands, may the work they create be generous and giving.
Come take my feet, may the journeys I walk be led by your Spirit within.
Come take my life Lord, for I love your goodness, your kindness and your leading.
Amen.

A New Year's Prayer link

Come, Holy Spirit,
Spirit of the Risen Christ, be with us today and always.
Be our Light, our Guide, and our Comforter.
Be our Strength, our Courage, and our Sanctifier.
May this new year be a time of deep spiritual growth for us,
A time of welcoming your graces and gifts,
A time for forgiving freely and unconditionally,
A time for growing in virtue and goodness.

Come, Holy Spirit,
Be with us today and always.
Amen

The Lord's Prayer link

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen

Scripture Reading:  John 20:26-29 (NASB Bible Gateway)

After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” Then He *said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Benediction
Romans 15:13 NIV

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen

Happy New Year!

Good for you, Nick! Happy New Year’s to you and Lesley and your family.

    Regards,

  3. At 17.00 and following in the sermon: reaching out like Jesus, to the highways and the byways – because the ground at the foot of the cross is level.

    Good word.

  4. Hello everyone. I would appreciate prayer.

I haven’t been doing so well the last couple of days.

I mean, physically, I’m fine, it’s other things (which I don’t want to get into or go into detail about).

    Thank you.

    Hi Daisy,

Yes, I am putting you in my prayer journal and I will pray for you night and day.

    Hugs,

  6. Shauna’s son Billy in Texas just celebrated his birthday! (Dee previously wrote about their story.)

Thanks to donors here, Shauna was able to provide a Christmas for her son Billy, which she couldn’t afford otherwise with her part-time job at a supermarket. She has also been able to pay bills that overdue, like electricity.

For those that would like to help with their monthly needs, you may do so here:

I also will pray for Daisy. The holidays are tough on people sometimes, yes.

Thank you my sister in Christ and fellow prayer warrior, Christiane.

  8. @ Daisy

I’m continuing to pray for you, Daisy. May God bless you in every way.
