TWW Back From Enid Tonight — 13 Comments

  1. Glad you had a wonderful time. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and summary of the trip.

Dee and Deb, you’ve been one of the few bright spots in my horrible year. No coal in the stockings for you this year, I’m sure of that!

  2. I had a wonderful time at dinner Sunday night. Please come back and visit. I could spend a whole day listening and talking with the two of you and still hunger for more. 🙂

  3. Debbie,

It was such an honor to meet you! Your efforts to expose Ergun Caner captured the attention of news outlets as well as Christianity Today. I hope our readers will take the time to read about your heroic efforts to proclaim the truth.

May God continue to bless you, your wonderful pastor, and the Emmanuel congregation. We’d love to come back and visit again!

  4. Have a great Christmas ladies! Thanks for all your support over the past year. I hope to get my ‘Mystical Musings’ out in early 2012 for those who’re tired of the same old stuff.

    Blessings

  5. Debbie

It was so fun to meet, face to face, a fellow blogger, and a courageous one at that! We are excited about the sisterhood and brotherhood of Christian bloggers, especially the ones who run a bit contrary to the current same old, same old.

  6. Glad you had a great time – you are a wonderful encouragement to me too, as I seek to walk through figuring out my relationship with Jesus Christ – and the not-so great church of His!

Take care, lots of rest and enjoy your Christmas!

  7. James,
They are not spending their lives critiquing pastors.
That’s what you would do if you went from church, sat in the back, listen to a sermon, then filled out some sort of critique form on their preaching and/or accuracy and/or presentation and/or effectiveness, etc.

What’s going on here is calling out sin.
And it usually has to be pretty bad for it to make it on here.
They aren’t looking for slight imperfections, but rather glaring hypocrisy and/or abuse and/or the promotion of false, harmful doctrine.

If you don’t get it, either the wool has been pulled over your eyes and/or you are new at this and/or you are trying to cover for some favored cult-of-personality pastor.
