check out Jonah. It says that God repented of the evil he had planned to bring to Ninevah becuase the residents repented (including the cattle) and asked for forgiveness. So the behavior of the sinners changed the mind of God regarding their fate.

Jewish and Christian tradition, and current evangelical scholarship, attribute authorship of the Pentateuch to Moses. The Pentateuch itself, other books in the Old Testament, and Jesus, and the writers of the New testament refer to writings in the Pentateuch as being from Moses. It is a myth that Moses did not write the first five books of the Bible.

Moses did not write the first five books of the Bible. That is myth. The writing took place about the time of the Babylonian exile. The attribution to Moses is a misreading of the Hebrew practice. They are called the books of Moses because he is the central character in four of the five, and was the bearer of the law that takes up a significant portion of these books.

Well you are right that I disagree. Recall that Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible, and therefor wrote both the passage in Genesis that talks about Nephilim and also the one in Exodus. Clearly your explanation for the one in Exodus doesn't work - who were they descended from?. Since Moses wrote both books, he must have used the word to mean the same thing. And the Nephilim in Exodus are giants who made the Jews look like grasshoppers in their sight, if I remember correctly. Neither does that explanation match Jude's reference. I think we have to leave the theory about Seth in the trash can - it just doesn't fit.
As to your other questions, the Bible is not a complete book about God's work. He could easily have taken care of those problems without mentioning how he did it to us....
