Today, we are going to take a look at just how prosperity preachers motivate/fleece their flock. PLEASE take the time to watch this important 10 minute video! Some of you have never seen anything like it, but what you are about to witness is an incredible prosperity convention that took place at Madison Square Garden. The prosperity preachers are Leroy Thompson and Creflo Dollar. Watch as an arena full of followers are systematically seduced (hypnotized) into giving their hard earned cash because they believe they will reap a tremendous increase. By the way, just how much of that cash is actually reported by the ministries putting on the show?
Now take a look at another prosperity pimp who makes no bones about the god whom he serves. “Money cometh to me now!” is the chant being repeated over and over and over again by this congregation. Watch as this prosperity pimp (sorry – that’s what he is) “anoints” the money he has fleeced from his flock. Truly incredible!!!
Finally, please take the time to watch two important videos that will demonstrate how prosperity pimps are twisting the parable of the sower. One of the important points being made is as follows: if these prosperity preachers believe so much in the law of sowing and reaping (give and receive 30, 60, or 100 fold), then why don’t their extremely lucrative ministries just give their way into prosperity instead of soliciting money from their flock? After all, Kenneth Copeland could tithe his $20 million jet and receive a 100 fold increase!!!

Absolutely disgusting. Noticed the other day you mentioned that you watched James Robison giving an interview that was good. I have seen Dollar on Robison’s show many times promoting some of his books. What kind of ministry would promote a man like Dollar?

Thanks for your comment. The only reason I watched James Robison is because I was interested in what Beth Moore had to say. And that quite a while ago. James Robison is not someone I follow.
Glad you mentioned Creflo Dollar. I’m working on today’s post, and it will focus primarily on him. Let’s just say it will NOT be flattering.
Unbelievable. I would never stand for this in any church that I would be a member of. I would not join a church like this, and I would leave if my church ever became like that.
I am uncomfortable with not only the love of money, but also the unwarranted and unprovable claims that many of these charismatic folks make – healings, prophetic gifts, word of knowledge, word of faith etc. Frankly, I feel the same about the so-called “private prayer language” issue (I don’t know how anyone can claim that they know without a doubt that they are speaking a heavely language) and other similar charismatic issues that exist in the SBC. Thought the issues are separate, and deserve to be considered separately, there affiliations among charismatic leaning folks can end up giving aid and comfort to the guys like Dollar, or at least making some people in our pews more ripe for the picking by charismatic frauds.
Don’t worry, if you don’t believe what the Word has to say about prosperity you will never be bothered with it. Guess your just happy with having enough for “your four and no more.” If you really listen to what these men of God are saying you would realize that they do give and the do receive. But you will never have the problem of deciding who or what to give, you will have just enough for yourself. For people like you I guess that is enough. Sad

Thanks for your comment, even though I respectfully disagree with you. I stand by what I have written about the prosperity pimps. The charlatans whom you esteem so highly are only concerned about their “four and no more” to use your tiring terminology (BTW, I know the prosperity lingo because I’ve heard it all before). They are bilking their flock to support their extravagant lifestyle, period!

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
I agree with Jesus’ instruction, and I have learned to be content in this temporal world.
FYI – my family participated in an incredible outpouring of love in the body of Christ Saturday evening. We have close ties to a farming community, and members of a Methodist church held a benefit dinner for two individuals in their close-knit community who have been diagnosed with cancer, neither of which belong to that church. One is a 24 year old man with non-hodgkins lymphoma and the other is a Mennonite woman with breast cancer. This Mennonite couple has five children, and they came to the dinner. They were overwhelmed by the tremdous show of support.
These “country folk” filled a basket full of cash and checks that will be divided equally between these two cancer-striken individuals, and it warmed my heart to participate. It was such a wonderful testimony! It just goes to show that you don’t have to be “rich” to help someone beyond what you call “your four and no more”.
